Issues

Where I stand on the important issues

Pro-Life

From beginning to end, life is precious and we need to do everything we can to protect it. Life begins with conception and ends with natural death. Taxpayer-funded abortions are unconstitutional by depriving those Americans of the right to life.

Pro-Second Amendment

Perhaps the most important amendment of them all because it protects everything in the constitution and the other 26 amendments. The constitution says it plain as day “Shall Not Be Infringed”!

Jobs and the Economy

In Northern Minnesota, we rely on Taconite, Timber, and Tourism to support our families and our communities. Good paying, union jobs in mining, forestry, trucking, and supporting industries are the backbone of a strong economy in our neck of the woods. Recently our way of life has come under fire by groups who think they know our land and resources better than we do. We have the cleanest air and water in the entire state and will continue to protect our land for generations to come while allowing the economic engine of Minnesota to roar once again!

Fiscally Conservative Government

The State of Minnesota needs to be on a budget just like the taxpaying families of Minnesota. Responsible use of taxpayer dollars starts in the legislature where we need diligent people to see that our money is being used efficiently and effectively. Frivolous government spending only leads to more taxes and fees coming out of our wallets and into the coffers of the State.

Environment and Natural Resources

Northern Minnesota is blessed with bountiful natural resources and an environment that keeps the most avid outdoorsmen busy year-round. It is our responsibility to enjoy these things in a balance of one another and allow both industries to thrive here. We can mine the taconite and copper/nickel while still protecting the water and forests around us. Minnesota is a worldwide leader in responsible mining and forestry practices as we have been at this for over 100 years.
